The general and widespread political polarization in America today can be seen as a negative but it comes with some opportunities as well.  People are engaging in a debate about the future of the United States and this gives us all a chance to shape the direction of our nation.  The challenge is to ensure that this debate happens with intelligence, civility and focused on finding common ground.  This challenge is the founding principle behind The American Project.  This blog will attempt to be a non-partisan, fact based contributor to the ongoing conversation about America that began with our Founding Fathers.  Stay tuned.
